Lokal Media is an in-house division of Lokal Travel, dedicated to raising awareness about the important role that tourism should play in protecting local culture, community, and environment. Lokal Media partners with other like minded organizations and brands to further this mission.
MARCO BOLLINGER, Co-Filmmaker
Peruvian-American, Marco opened his first photo studio in 2005 in Santa Monica California’s Bergamot Station Arts District where he has since had a solo art show in Coordination with the Santa Monica Museum of Art. In 2007 he became Director of Media for the Whitespeed Branding Agency. Today, Marco lives between Los Angeles and New York City, and travels on regular basis in search unique people, places and experiences to document. His unique Pop Documentary style has has garnered him the opportunity to work with major celebrities like Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake to campaigns for Time Warner Cable and Samantha Thavasa. He is an image contributor to non-profit organizations like the New York City based Robin Hood Foundation and the Community Coalition in Los Angeles, and is co-founder of Lokal Travel.
EYTAN ELTERMAN, Co-Filmmaker
Mexican-American, Eytan’s past work has taken him through Central America, South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and parts of Africa, as well as having studied in Spain and Argentina. It’s those experiences that made him realize what a privilege it is to see the world –- and it’s this type of adventure that drives his work. Eytan began his career as a documentary filmmaker in 2005 and has since worked on documentary shorts focused on alternative fuel, international development, the foster care system, food justice, sport diving, and U.S./Israel relations. He has an MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, is currently based between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and is co-founder of Lokal Travel.
